Job Summary

STRIDE Fitness Carmel Mountain Ranch is hiring a high-energy Group Fitness Coach and Certified Personal Trainer to lead treadmill and strength-based group fitness classes. This role is ideal for coaches with group training experience who thrive in a fast-paced, music-driven environment and are passionate about delivering an exceptional member experience.

Coaches are responsible for leading STRIDEs signature split-room format, motivating members, providing clear coaching cues, and building strong community connections that drive long-term member engagement.

About STRIDE Fitness

STRIDE Fitness is a boutique fitness studio offering a 55-minute full-body workout that combines treadmill intervals with floor-based strength training. Our programming is designed to improve speed, strength, and endurance in a high-energy, coach-led environment. Coaches play a central role in member satisfaction, retention, and studio culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach 55-minute group fitness classes combining treadmill cardio and strength training

  • Lead split-room classes with members on treadmills and the strength floor simultaneously

  • Deliver clear verbal cueing in a loud, music-driven environment

  • Provide exercise progressions and modifications for all fitness levels

  • Motivate members and maintain a positive, inclusive class experience

  • Build rapport with members and consistently use member names

  • Support first-time guests and encourage repeat visits

  • Represent STRIDE Fitness with professionalism and enthusiasm

  • Participate in studio events, challenges, and community initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • Active Certified Personal Trainer certification (NASM, ACE, ISSA, ACSM, NSCA, or equivalent)

  • Prior group fitness coaching experience

  • Strong communication and public speaking skills

  • Ability to coach in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  • CPR and AED certification preferred

  • Reliable transportation

  • Ability to commute within 30 minutes of the studio
